We've been celebrating as our Awatere River Spindrift Rose 2021 and our Awatere River Sauvignon Blanc 2022 have been awarded five stars in Winestates latest tastings, featuring in the November/December magazine.
Awatere River Spindrift Pinot Noir Rosé 2021 - 5 stars
Fragrant and fresh, this bright, light pink Marlborough wine is very lively, with strong peach, watermelon, and spice flavours, crisp, dry and sustained.
Spindrift Rose is our tribute to the legendary white horse called Spindrift who still lives on…roaming the rolling hills of Flaxbourne, where both she and this wine were conceived. Our single-vineyard Pinot rose is crafted in a dry, elegant style.
Awatere River Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022 - 5 stars
This classy young wine has a strong personality. Grown at three sites in the Awatere Valley, it is invitingly aromatic, racy, and intense, in a strongly varietal style with tropical fruit and herbaceous flavours, finely poised and lingering.
We're delighted with these results, a testament to our hardworking winery and vineyard teams, committed to creating the best expressions of our varietals from our unique sites of the Awatere Valley.
